Week 14 - Where'd You Go?

This week was depressingly intense and happy all at the same time.
Monday we had our usual P-Day and tried fitting all of the side activities we had planned. We ate dinner with the Goodman family and enjoyed their company for the short time we had with them. That night we visited with Judy and just talked for a little while.
Tuesday we had our usual studies in the morning, but then we did something exciting! We painted the Gonda's house! I got to climb the ladder and paint the trimming! We had a great time painting the house and enjoyed not inhaling the fumes. After painting Sister Gonda's House we went over to Judy's house and taught her about the importance of the Sabbath day, Tithing, Fasting, the 10 commandments and How to donate tithes. It was a wonderful lesson, and Judy was expressing how excited she was to get baptized this Saturday, it was exciting to see how excited a little 64 year old German lady was to get baptized. We went home and had dinner with sister Becky Smith and she cooked a wonderful meal for us. Then we started our big plans for an idea I had. I will say more about the idea after it actually happens.
Wednesday we went to the car place and got our oil changed, it was a long time and the communication was not good because we were not told that we were suppose to put a special kind of oil into the car... so the miss communication cost us 50 bucks. We then went and had practice in Derby for the musical we are performing on Sunday. The missionaries don't seem to take the practice very seriously. which is sad. We had dinner with brother Gonda at Cheddars! it was delicious, besides the fact that I couldn't really eat anything because my stomach is still having problems.
On Thursday we had our sisters retreat. It was Awesome. All the sisters in our area drove to Pratt and we had a day of uplifting happiness and awesome yoga. we had talks given by the Sister trainer Leaders about fashion, hair, makeup, and other stuff. Divine nature and individual worth were the other two talks given by the STL's. We all drove back and by then it was time to go to dinner. We had dinner with the Rosbach family; they are awesome!  They made some cookies that tasted like heaven.   After we visited them we tried contacting a referral, we typed in the address and when we drove down there we realized it was in the ghetto. and it was dark outside, but we still felt like we should knock on the door. She was sleeping but her husband answered and gave us her number!
Friday was a whole jumble of a mess, we were suppose to have a conference call at noon, but there were technical difficulties so they canceled. We then had district meeting and talked about ways to find people. creepy huh? haha. The district meeting lasted for 3 hours. It was long. by the end we had time to drive out to Andover to our dinner appointment with the other Smith family.

The depressing day was Saturday. Starting on Wednesday Judy had canceled our appointment with her because she was not feeling well, we called her on Thursday, then on Friday. she never answered. we stopped by her house twice as well. So we had to cancel her baptism that was suppose to happen on Saturday. So we ended up making programs for the fireside and making phone calls until 2; then we waited at the church to make sure no one showed up for her baptism.  after that we went to the Derby stake center and did a church tour and then watched the Relief Society broadcast. It was awesome

Sunday was amazing we performed the musical and it went awesome! It was super strong spirit!

My time is up and so I have to go! love you all and write you again later!

love
Cindy
